PDO Threads
A thread lift, also called a barbed suture lift or a PDO thread lift, is an aesthetic procedure that lifts and sculpts tissue in the face or body. Thread lifts have been around since the 1990’s, but innovations in the material used in the threads have led to improved safety and an increase in popularity in recent years.
Thread lifts use temporary, medical-grade suture material (Polydiaxonone) to elevate, tighten and rejuvenate the skin. The barbs in the suture “catch” skin so that is remains in place once lifted, and the material in the suture is thought to promote collagen formation. Because the barb has a moderate lifting capacity, multiple threads are usually placed at a time to improve lifting and to promote collagen formation over a larger surface area.
The typical candidate for a thread lift is in their late 30s to early 50s, generally in good health, and just starting to notice the signs of aging. Those who can’t have a surgical facelift because of medical conditions may consider a thread
lift as an alternative.
Results are subtle, but the improvement is global, and patients are generally very satisfied with the procedure. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia in the office setting. The effect of these procedures can last up to 12 months.

The cones deliver an immediate lift and the material in the cones and sutures gradually restore lost facial volume by activating natural collagen production for a more youthful appearance that continues to improve over time.
The sutures and cones are made from poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA), a well-known biomedical copolymer that is biocompatible and biodegradable. The procedure takes approximately one hour and is performed in our AAAASF Accredited office-based surgical facility.
InstaLift also requires minimal downtime and most signs of treatment (eg, bruising, swelling, and tenderness at the treatment site) dissipate within 24–48 hours. Patients can get right back to their activities and enjoy an instant lift in the cheeks, while adding volume over time for long-lasting results.
Thermitight
ThermiTight is a nonsurgical treatment that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy just below the surface of the skin. The ThermiTight probe introduces heat into the deep tissues, triggering the body’s natural collagen-production response. It’s safe for people with all skin types and tones, and most people need just a single treatment—a unique advantage over similar RF procedures.
ThermiTight can be used on the neck, breasts, arms, abdomen, and thighs, to treat mild to moderate sagging skin. The number of sessions you’ll ultimately need will depend on your skin type, the results you want, and the way your body responds to ThermiTight treatments. ThermiTight treatments can take up to three hours, depending on the targeted area and treatment requires very little downtime. Because the incisions required for treatment are small, you won’t require any sutures.
Swelling and bruising can be significant and take two to four weeks to resolve. Typically, results last three to five years. No procedure can stop the hands of time, so the treatment area will continue to age naturally—and maintenance treatments every few years, to correct the changes of aging skin are recommended.
